Reino Gevers

My motto:

"UBUNTU "

"I am what I am because of who we all are"

Born in the South African province of KwaZulu Natal, Reino Gevers spent his early childhood learning from the Zulus. The individual was always seen in the context of family, community and interaction with the fellow human being. Growing up as a young man he therefore felt a growing revulsion of the apartheid doctrine of racial discrimination at the time. Working as a reporter for the Durban "Daily News" he for the first time saw close-hand the disastrous effect of communities being forcibly removed in terms of racial segregation.  He decided to leave South Africa in 1980, settling in Germany in 1981 where he worked on the international desk of a news agency. He was a Works Council chairman for 12 years, spending much of his free time learning and training the Chinese body arts taiji, sword form and qi gong. Author of several books including "Yield and Overcome". He has been a full-time consultant since July 2010 with emphasis on corporate health and change management.
